3:00 PM: QTBI HEALING WORKSHOP: “Art as Radical Self-Love”, facilitated by TIMAAJ HASSEN

Using poetry as a means of expression, the workshop will consist of discussions surrounding identity, mental health, race, class, disability, gender, sexuality, and faith. This is a space where participants will discuss healthy boundaries, and the importance of saying “no”. As Black people of diverse sexual and gender identities, we are often commodified and tokenized, and left feeling drained. The goal is for the participants to leave with a new sense of purpose, and to explore alternative artistic avenues for expressing their emotions.
