Iako’tsi:rareh Amanda Lickers (she/they) Seneca, Six Nations is a public educator, Libra sun, Cancer moon, and emerging multi-media artist. They are building a life-affirming art practice through spoken word, videography, and visual works based in illustration and graphic design. Their lived experiences have brought them along a journey of unpacking land trauma as a contributor to ‘Violence On Our Lands, Violence On Our Bodies’ Land, Body, Defence Environmental Violence Report and Tool Kit, released by Native Youth Sexual Health Network in partnership with Women’s Earth Alliance. Currently, they are building their art practice and doing their best to prepare for the robo-copocalypyse that is nearly-upon us. This series highlights practices of cultural resurgence and community connectedness as medicine during these uncertain times.
