Montreal based producer and DJ Canhota draws from disparate genre influences such as baile funk, techno , tarraxo, noise, hardcore punk, percussion and classical music to create boundary pushing, dancey and emotive original music and DJ sets. Fresh off an EP release with Safe & Sound [MTL] – the digital label she co runs with Aso Ani – and a mix for JEROME, the Venus Collective Member’s tastes can also be heard on the collective’s weekly CKUT show, VENUS RADIO.
